Discover Adefence

What is Adefence?

Adefence is a platform that protects and optimizes your Google Ads campaigns throughout the funnel, not just at the moment of the click. On one hand, it blocks invalid traffic—bots, repeated clicks, suspicious IPs, unfair competitors—that consumes budget without creating real value. On the other, it connects your business data (CRM, ecommerce, forms) to campaigns, so the Google Ads algorithm learns to optimize not only for the number of conversions but for their real outcome: a lead that became a customer, an order that was not returned, actual margin. In short, Adefence works on two levels: it protects budget from harmful traffic and improves the quality of signals feeding automated campaign optimization.

How does Adefence work?

Adefence works in four stages. 1. Connect: connect your sources—CRM, ecommerce, forms, advertising platforms—to centralize data showing what really happens in your funnel after the click. 2. Protect: Adefence analyzes clicks, IPs, devices, and behavior in real time to identify invalid traffic, bots, proxies, VPNs, and suspicious patterns. Each interaction receives a dynamic score calculated from more than 100 parameters; if the score is low, ad exposure to that IP is reduced or blocked. 3. Optimize: each conversion is compared with the real business outcome—a qualified lead, confirmed sale, return, retained margin—instead of remaining just a count. 4. Send: Adefence returns cleaner, more consistent signals to advertising channels (Google, Meta, and others), helping Smart Bidding algorithms optimize on reliable data rather than raw conversions. Unlike systems based only on static rules, this approach reduces false positives: a user on a VPN who generates real conversions is not automatically blocked, because the system assesses the overall context rather than one parameter.

Do I need your protection?

If you invest in Google Ads and see many clicks but few concrete results, some of your budget is likely being wasted on unhelpful traffic. Adefence helps you monitor visits, detect anomalous behavior, and protect advertising campaigns, improving traffic quality and investment returns without technical complications.

Does Adefence only help save budget?

No. Besides protecting budget from invalid traffic, Adefence connects real business outcomes to campaigns to optimize for value signals rather than just conversion volume—an approach that also includes practices such as value-based bidding and NetROAS. The result is a double benefit: less waste and an algorithm working with more reliable data.

Why AdefenceYou might not know this

Who is wasting your budget?

What is click fraud?

Click fraud occurs when someone clicks your online ads without genuine interest in your product or service. These clicks may come from unfair competitors, people paid specifically to click, or automated systems such as bots mimicking human behavior. Fraudulent clicks aim mainly to consume your advertising budget, distort campaign data, or adversely influence optimization algorithms. They bring no valuable visits, conversions, or genuine interactions, but directly affect campaign costs and performance. They also falsify the information used by algorithms for automated strategies, making it harder to tell which investments work. Recognizing and limiting click fraud protects budget, keeps campaign data clean, and lets algorithms optimize ads only for real interactions, improving overall performance. Adefence identifies these clicks, assesses their quality, and can block or limit ad exposure to suspicious sources, preventing waste and protecting campaigns.

Unfair competitors

Unfair competitors are rival companies that intentionally click your ads to harm your campaigns. These clicks have no genuine commercial interest; they quickly raise daily costs, consume available budget, and shorten the time campaigns can run during the day. Your ad then stops appearing while a competitor continues advertising at lower cost. This activity is not random: often the same parties click repeatedly on the same day at particular times, following repetitive patterns that adversely affect performance and the Google Ads algorithm.

Automated bots

Automated bots are software designed to click ads continuously and systematically. They can operate 24 hours a day, generating large numbers of clicks in little time and artificially increasing advertising spend. Modern bots can change IP addresses frequently and simulate mouse movements, time spent, and behavior resembling a real user to evade simpler checks. This is especially harmful for high-budget campaigns and automated systems such as Performance Max, where the algorithm decides based on signals received. Besides consuming budget, bots can confuse the Google Ads algorithm and worsen campaign optimization over the medium and long term.

Opaque publishers or networks

In some cases, invalid traffic comes from opaque publishers or advertising networks that seek to increase earnings by generating artificial ad clicks. These clicks do not reflect real interest in the advertised product or service and produce no conversions. The result is seemingly high but worthless traffic that affects only campaign costs and quality metrics. This activity is often hard to spot without dedicated tools because the clicks may appear evenly distributed and not immediately suspicious.

Quality score

Whenever someone clicks your ad and lands on your site or landing page, Adefence observes the entire interaction. It does not stop at the click: it analyzes the IP address, device, browser, time spent, page movements, and dozens of other parameters. Based on these data, it assigns a quality score, called a Score, indicating whether the click is real and useful or suspicious and harmful. If behavior appears anomalous, the score is low and Adefence can reduce future exposure to your ad or stop showing it, automatically protecting budget and optimizing campaigns.

How are repeated clicks and attempts to waste budget handled?

When a user clicks your ad several times in a short period, Adefence monitors the behavior and assesses whether it is a genuine click or an attempt to consume budget. Not every repeated click is negative, but unnatural patterns are identified immediately. The system can limit or block the ad for that IP so it will not see your ad in future, automatically protecting budget. This also works when clicks come from VPNs, proxies, or bots, keeping campaign data clean.

How does Adefence detect VPNs, proxies, bots, and suspicious traffic?

Many harmful click attempts hide behind VPNs, proxies, or automated bots. Adefence analyzes not only the IP address but also technical characteristics of the connection, user behavior, and the consistency of the interaction. Even sophisticated bots show recognizable patterns, such as excessively short visits or unnatural movements. When an attempt is identified as suspicious, the system acts to prevent that IP from clicking again and optimize actual campaign spend.

What is fingerprint analysis and why is it important for IP exclusion?

Changing IP does not make you invisible. Adefence uses fingerprinting—a technical fingerprint of the user based on device, browser, and behavior. Even if a bot or competitor changes networks or location, Adefence can recognize and associate it with the same party. This allows automatic addition of the IP to the Google Ads exclusion list, preventing further clicks on your ad and damage to your budget without affecting real users.

What is the difference between GIVT and SIVT?

Invalid traffic has two categories. GIVT (General Invalid Traffic) is easy to recognize: known bots, crawlers, data-center traffic. SIVT (Sophisticated Invalid Traffic) is much more insidious because it simulates a real user with genuine browsers and residential proxies. Adefence is designed to detect both categories, not just the easier one.

OptimizationEvery click counts

Optimization is here

How does Adefence automatically optimize Performance Max campaigns?

Adefence connects directly to Google Ads through an API to monitor ad interactions continuously. When it detects suspicious clicks or users generating invalid traffic, it automatically sends information to Google Ads to improve algorithm optimization, particularly for Performance Max campaigns. The goal is for the algorithm to work only with real, reliable data, avoiding wasted budget and maximizing conversions. This directs every euro spent toward genuinely interested users.

What is Data Exclusion and why is it important?

Data Exclusion is a feature that excludes from reports and optimization all clicks or interactions identified as invalid or suspicious. In practice, data distorted by bots, VPNs, proxies, or repeated clicks are not considered by the Google Ads algorithm. This ensures campaigns optimize only for real traffic, improving signal quality and allowing the Performance Max algorithm to make more precise and effective decisions.

What is Signal Engineering and how does it correct conversion values?

Signal Engineering compares each conversion with the real outcome in your funnel—actual margin and returns for ecommerce, lead qualification for lead generation, activation and paid plans for SaaS—and updates the value of the conversion already sent to Google Ads, a mechanism called conversion value adjustment. Thus Smart Bidding learns to distinguish conversions that produced genuine value from those that ultimately did not.

How does Adefence integrate protection and optimization in real time?

By combining quality scores, bot and repeated-click detection, fingerprinting, Data Exclusion, and Signal Engineering, Adefence can protect budget and optimize campaigns in real time. Suspicious clicks are excluded, real users are valued, and the Performance Max algorithm works on reliable data. The effect is more accurate targeting, reduced waste, and more effective online advertising overall.

PricesChoose the right plan for you

Did you know you get two months free?

How are Adefence plans and prices calculated?

Adefence plans are based both on your monthly Google Ads spend and the number of clicks your campaigns receive: each plan covers up to a certain budget threshold or maximum monthly click count, whichever is reached first. The reason is simple: higher advertising budgets mean more clicks and data to analyze, and greater use of our technological resources. This model guarantees the same advanced protection and optimization for small and large advertisers alike, without differences in quality or features.

Which plans are available and what do they include?

The Start plan is for advertisers spending up to €1,000 per month or receiving up to 2,000 clicks per month: it costs a fixed €24 per month, covers one website, and includes invalid-traffic prevention, advanced traffic insights, real-time session analysis, and basic budget optimization. The Pro plan is for larger budgets, with thresholds starting at €3,000 per month or 6,000 clicks per month (from €38 per month), increasing progressively via a slider based on selected spend: it covers unlimited sites and adds Smart Bidding optimization, AI campaign optimization, conversion tracking and adjustment, and data export. The Advanced plan is for businesses and agencies spending more than €25,000 per month or receiving over 50,000 clicks per month: pricing is customized on request and includes tailored budget and click limits, custom integrations and automations, dedicated reporting, and custom SLAs.

Why do you offer two free months and how does it work?

We offer two genuinely free months because we believe only this period allows proper analysis of click behavior, detection of unusual patterns, and an understanding of whether budget is really under attack. Shorter trials, such as seven days, do not allow reliable analysis and do not reflect the reality of Google Ads campaigns. During the two free months you can use all Adefence features and decide freely whether to continue.

What happens at the end of the two free months?

You can cancel the subscription at any time before the end of the two months at no cost. If you do not cancel, the subscription renews automatically from the third month and the selected plan is charged. There are no commitments, penalties, or required minimum terms: you remain in control.

How does payment work and what kind of support is available?

Payment is handled by Stripe. To activate the two free months, enter your payment-card details without an immediate charge. The amount is charged only if the subscription is not canceled before the trial ends. For information, configuration help, or clarification, our support team is always available entirely in Italian, ready to help at every stage.

Quick and easy

How is Adefence configured after registration?

Once registered, our system guides you step by step through implementing Adefence on your site or landing page. First, add code to your site to monitor ad clicks and collect data securely. Next, upload a file to the site's root directory to validate ownership and allow the system to function properly. Finally, authorize your Google Ads account so Adefence can automatically apply tracking templates to all existing and future campaigns, without configuring each ad manually.

Why does Adefence request authorization for your Google Ads account?

Authorization is needed to implement tracking templates directly at account level. These configurations automatically add parameters and signals to ad URLs so the system can collect detailed click and user-behavior data. With these templates, Adefence can automatically identify suspicious or harmful IPs and send them straight to the Google Ads exclusion list without manual intervention. The process is fully automated, secure, and protected: no data will be visible to third parties or human operators without your consent. Collected data are used exclusively to distinguish real from fraudulent clicks, protect budget, and optimize campaigns. All information is encrypted and managed according to the highest security standards, ensuring maximum confidentiality and reliability.

Is Adefence compatible with any web platform?

Yes, Adefence is designed to be compatible with every web platform, from popular CMSs such as WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal to custom landing pages or sites developed with proprietary frameworks. Integration is flexible and does not require complex site changes. Thanks to lightweight code and file-based implementations, the system works without slowing pages or interfering with other tools and plugins already in use.

How can I monitor and manage Adefence?

After configuration, an intuitive dashboard lets you set manual or sector-based exclusion rules. It sends detailed email reports about blocked clicks, recorded sessions, and overall protection status. You can also access visual recordings of ad-click sessions to observe user behavior and optimize landing pages and conversions. The system thus gives you full control of security and optimization while maintaining maximum data confidentiality.

Does Adefence also integrate with my CRM or management system?

Yes. In addition to Google Ads, you can connect your CRM, ecommerce, or internal management system to Adefence, so it automatically collects real funnel outcomes—a lead that becomes a customer, a returned order, an activated subscription—and translates them into updated signals for advertising platforms. You do not need to modify campaigns manually: once the systems are connected, Smart Bidding receives better signals and adapts budget allocation on its own.
